How a refillable pod system works
A pod system is a rechargeable battery with a pod that holds e-liquid and a built-in coil. You refill the pod or swap it for a new one, and replace the coil or pod when flavor fades. Browse refillable pod systems and coils and pods.
Coil resistance and e-liquid pairing
A coil's resistance, measured in ohms (Ω), changes how the device feels. Always follow the manufacturer's guidance for your pod.
- Lower resistance (about 0.4Ω to 0.6Ω): warmer, denser vapor and a looser draw. These coils use more e-liquid and more battery. Sub-ohm coils (under 1.0Ω) are usually paired with freebase e-liquid at low nicotine strengths in tank devices.
- Higher resistance (about 0.8Ω to 1.2Ω): a tighter draw closer to a cigarette, with a more noticeable throat hit. These are commonly used with nic salt e-liquid.
- Mesh coils: heat up faster and spread heat evenly, which many people find gives steadier flavor. XROS series pods, for example, run from 0.4Ω to 1.2Ω.

What do the coil ohm numbers mean?
Lower resistance, such as 0.6 ohm, usually means more vapor and a looser draw. Higher resistance, such as 1.0 or 1.2 ohm, gives a tighter draw closer to cigarettes.
My pod is leaking or won't fire. What now?
Check that the pod is seated and not overfilled, and that the battery is charged. If the taste is burnt, read why a vape tastes burnt. Bring it in and our staff can take a look.

How often should I change a pod or coil?
Most last one to two weeks of daily use. Replace one when you notice a burnt taste, thin vapor or muted flavor.
